Good morning Year 3. Before we get started today I have a little message. Always try what I have set for you first BUT if you find the English or Maths too hard or too easy on that day you can always log into BBC Bitesize Daily and look at the Year 2 or Year 4 English and Maths.   • Write an entry in your diary. Write about 6 sentences, beautifully joined to explain what has been happening in your house this week. If it was me, I would write my sentences on a rough piece of paper first and then copy neatly into my diary. Use amazing adjectives to describe. Remember that this diary will be a record for you to keep to remind you of this time.

Hello Year 3. I don't know if it was the rainy weather yesterday but I didn't feel as happy as usual. However, a call from my Mum in the Isle of Man made everything better. Mums (and Dads) are great aren't they? Even when you are as old as me, a phone call can make you smile! Anyway, after you have listened to today's date to add to your timeline on Friday can you-

Welcome back to another magical week Year 3. I'm glad that a LOT of you could hear the beautiful birds in my video last Friday. I hope you had a lovely sunny time with your family too. Remember, if you want to revisit any previous days of work then it's all kept on this page for you. Each day this week, I am giving you a recording with a date. At the end of the week you will be able to make a timeline to put into your diary. Today can you-

Yay...We've made it to the end of another week. All of you have been working hard so let's finish off this week really well. Today can you-
  • Listen to all the poems that I have read for you this week and in your diary write down which your favourite was and why and draw an illustration to go with it.
  • Here are 10 Year 3 spellings for you to test yourselves on today. Remember to Look Cover Write and Check each word-opposite, probably, surprise, weight, height, important, straight, strength, early and earth.

It's been really lovely to hear from some of you this week through emails and pictures to school. As always, with any work I have given try your very best but don't get too worried if you find it a little difficult or there's too much to do. I will leave each day on this page so you can always go back and check again. I hope you recognise my poem for today! Today can you-
  • Write a little update in your diary. I think I would like to know what you can see in your garden or outside your window. Maybe your family can help you with any birds, animals or plants that you can see. Try to use your senses to describe.
  • On Purple Mash I have left you some 2Do maths games. Try the up to 100 first and if you think you can move onto the up to 1000.
  • In Bug Club can you go back to 101 Ways to Beat Boredom Book from yesterday and answer the question on pages 12/13 and do one of the ideas on page 13. Then, if you want have a go at making the Moving Monster on page 18.

Hello Year 3, Mums, Dads and Families. Another lovely, sunny day Year 3 so after you have listened to today's poem and completed your work make sure you keep washing your hands and get lots of fresh air!                                                       I have lots of Year 3 work for you to get on with today.   • Find Photo 2 in your pack and write  see and hear descriptions about the photograph. Remember to add lots of adjectives in your descriptions.
  • In Bug Club I have put the non-fiction book 101 Ways to Beat Boredom in your book list. Answer the Bug questions on pages 4 and 8 and then follow the instructions on page 10 and try making the paper boat.

  • English- In your pack find the comprehension called The Structure of Playscripts. It's a play, written like our class assembly. If you can, answer the questions on the sheet. The last question can be written into your diary for today. Don't forget to write today's date at the top of the page. Neat joined writing too. If you want your animals to speak they must start what they have to say on a new line.

Hello Year 3 and welcome to a new Class Page (you can still enjoy showing your family everything that you have been doing so far in Year 3 on our usual class page too).
I'll leave you a message on here each day with some ideas as to what you can be doing in your "mini" classrooms at home. Remember that you need to get fresh air and exercise everyday, drink lots of water, keep washing your hands singing Joyeux Anniversaire (twice)! and enjoy the time you are having to do fun things with your family.

F a s c i n a t i n g     F r i d a y   3.4.20
C o n g r a t u l a t i o n s Year 3. You and your families have almost completed two weeks of working from home. I am SUPER proud of you all. In fact, I am so pleased that I'm not going to put any to do work on this page over your Easter Holiday. Hurray, I hear you all cry! After you have finished today's work, you are very welcome to pack away your work and close up your screens, get out in the garden with your lovely families, watch films, sing, dance, read all your favourite books, eat chocolate and enjoy the Easter break. You are also very welcome to come back to this page and catch up with the the things you've enjoyed or not had time to do and look on our other online activities. Look out for challenges from Mrs Evans on Twitter and your wonderful Facebook POTs page to keep in touch.

A LOT of you have emailed school to say that the work you have completed on Bug Club hasn't saved. I can only suggest that the BUGS are being a bit naughty!   • Have another look at 2Do Purple Mash Frank's Clever Window. See if you can get a higher score today.

Good morning wonderful Year 3. I have been asked not to mention the brilliant Joe Wicks so if you don't fancy a Mr Wicks workout you can always do Pokemon Yoga or run around the garden! (This is an idea from Lucas!) Can I apologise about the naughty BUGS yesterday. They are not letting you change your answers on Bug Club so don't worry about that bit of work but thank you to those who tried. I really appreciate the work you had tried to do. Today can you-
  • Write a midweek/beginning of April entry in your diary.
  • Do 20 minutes of TTRockstars and then find the Week 1 Session 2  3x table division sheet in your pack.

  • Check on Bug Club again. I can see that a few of  you didn't manage to get onto Bug Club yesterday. Look in your library and redo the questions that I have marked for you. If you did that yesterday, brilliant.
  • Find Photo 1 in your pack and write two long descriptions about the image. Focus on what you can see and what you can hear. Neat joined handwriting in full sentences please.

Welcome to another week Year 3. Thank you for all the work you have completed so far but the main thing is that you are reading lots and staying safe.   • Write about something that you are looking forward to this weekend. What?  Why? When? This diary should be written neatly each time. It will become a record of your time not in school.
  • 20 minutes of TT Rockstars. See how much faster you can get.
  • Find the Royal Invitation maths page in your pack-Classroom Secrets and complete the first page -The Royal Invitation. Just the ONE page, not the whole booklet!
  • Check through Purple Mash on your 2Do tasks. Have you completed them all? Could you improve?
  • Sit in a quiet, comfortable place and enjoy the time to read a book/few chapters.

Good morning Year 3. I'm really pleased to see so many of you completing your homework each day. It makes a teacher proud. Remember, that if you have a Bug Club task make sure you answer each question sensibly-I am able to see what you have written! Keep joining in with Joe Wicks on Youtube each morning at 9am if you can. He will set you up for the rest of the day. Today can you-
  • Write the date in your diary and write at least 3 sentences about your day so far. Neat and joined writing please.
  • Let's have a Purple Mash Day today-I've even used purple font for you! -Three tasks for you 2Do-Anglo Saxon work.....Sequence Snake for maths....and Music 2Explore ( We haven't done this in Y3 but if you open the programme and click on the green arrow next to the red box with a white arrow in the top right of the page it will give you the instructions to compose your own piece of music based upon your day at home on a sunny Thursday!)

Wonderful Wednesday  25.3.20
Halfway through the week and you are all doing really well. Remember to keep smiling and be polite to your family. If you are up at 9am try to log into Joe Wicks on Youtube for a live PE session before your breakfast. It will really get your heart going! Today can you-
  • Go onto Bug Club and read a book. Make sure you  answer questions too.
  • Find the Playscripts comprehension in your pack. I think you'll be able to answer next to the question if you keep your writing neat and small.
  • Science-Find the How do the properties of rocks differ sheet. Read through the first page and answer the questions on the second page.
  • I can see that some of you didn't complete the Purple Mash 2Do addition to 100 so if you haven't can you do it today and if you have, you may want to repeat it to get a better score or move onto addition to 1000. I'll leave this up to you!
Keep happy and make sure you get outside into the sunshine if you can.

Good morning Year 3. Well done on completing you work at home yesterday. Please, please, please don't worry if you can't get onto an online programme. There are a LOT of you all using the internet at the same time so maybe try again later in the day or leave the programme and log onto another one instead. Today can you-
  • Complete the irregular plurals and apostrophes sheet in your pack
  • Write today's date in your diary and draw and label 5 things that you can see from your bedroom window
  • Go onto Purple Mash and complete your 2Do task addition to 100
  • Get a BIG dose of fresh air.
  • Find a book and read to yourself. When you have read a few pages get an adult to ask you questions about it. Write it in your reading log and get an adult to sign it.

  • Begin your Diary, in the yellow book,  by writing today's date and writing at least three neat sentences about your day so far.
  • Complete the TT Rockstar 3x table sheet, Week 1 Session 1, in your pack and then log into TT Rockstars and try to speed up your multiplication answers.
  • Do two IDL sessions
  • Make sure you have a run/dance to get your heart racing. It would be great if you could get some fresh air too.
